This policy outlines how Gnarape handles dispatch, what to expect upon delivery, and how Gnarape resolves any shipment issues for our map orders. All prices and fees are shown in USD. Where eligibility allows, import taxes, duties, brokerage, and customs processing are integrated into the checkout total, so no payment is required upon arrival (DDP where possible).

How Gnarape Prepares and Dispatches Maps

Each map is securely packaged for global transit using layered cardboard, protective corner foam, and custom-fit boxes to prevent damage to the wood and cork elements. Orientation labels are applied to assist in careful handling. All items, regardless of size, move through standard parcel networks due to their light weight and manageable dimensions. At checkout you will see the full consolidated amount due in USD—including shipping, handling, applicable taxes, duties, and brokerage—no additional payment is accepted at the delivery door.

Gnarape ships to the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, Spain, Canada, Italy, Belgium, and Portugal.

Gnarape does not deliver to PO Boxes, APO/FPO/DPO, or certain remote territories (for example, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, and select remote islands in Europe or Australia). A standard street address with normal parcel access is required.

Carriers and Service Levels

  • Parcel Networks: UPS, FedEx, USPS (for U.S. parcels), and DHL Express for dedicated international lanes.
  • Service Type: Due to the product size, all maps ship via standard residential parcel service (no Freight/LTL is used). Standard service includes doorstep or mailbox delivery. This service does not include in-home placement or packaging removal.
  • Signature Control: An adult signature may be mandated for select high-value consignments; your tracking email will specify if this is required.
  • Additional details: Parcel carriers typically attempt delivery multiple times before rerouting the item to a local facility or access point; photo ID may be required for collection. Where Authority to Leave is permitted, risk transfers immediately upon the successful delivery scan (not an option when a signature is required).

  • Transit Time: Begins after the item is officially picked up by the carrier.
  • Business days are Monday–Friday (CST); U.S. federal holidays are excluded. International routes may require extra time for necessary security and customs checks. Severe weather, local holidays, or network congestion can extend timelines. Address modifications after dispatch may necessitate a carrier re-route and could result in significant delays.
  • Cut-off: Orders confirmed before the daily cut-off typically enter the packaging process the same working day; later confirmations begin the next working day.

We utilize reinforced packing and light-weight cartons to ensure safe delivery. Gnarape absorbs a portion of the shipping cost, and the total due for shipping and handling is presented clearly at checkout. Multi-item orders may be bundled into a single package or split into separate cartons for optimal protection.

Taxes, Duties, and Customs on International Orders

For deliveries to UK, FR, DE, ES, IT, BE, PT, AU, and CA, Gnarape ships DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). Import VAT/GST, duties, brokerage, and customs processing fees are included in the checkout total in USD. Do not make any payment to the delivery person. If any individual requests payment upon delivery, contact Gnarape immediately.

  • U.S. orders: Applicable state and local sales tax appears at checkout and is included in the USD total.
  • Documentation: Every international shipment includes a commercial invoice, packing list, and HS codes to facilitate rapid customs clearance.

Order Flow and Dispatch

Most maps move into final quality checks and packaging within one working day.

  • Orders confirmed before the daily cut-off typically begin processing the same working day; later confirmations start the next working day.
  • Since all our maps are in stock, the confirmation email includes an estimated ship-by date (usually within 1 business day).
  • With multiple items in a single cart, Gnarape will typically consolidate the items into one package to reduce tracking complexity; your confirmation will specify the grouping.

  • Fraud and Verification: For account security, Gnarape may request address or payment verification; lack of a timely response may delay dispatch.

Access, Placement, and Assembly

Our decorative wall maps ship fully assembled (composed of multiple segments that fit together). Cartons include an illustrated guide and mounting hardware where relevant. Installation is generally straightforward for one adult on a clean surface.

Since we use standard parcel service, special requests such as room-of-choice placement, stair carries, or packaging haul-away are not available unless pre-arranged as a third-party paid upgrade.

  • Possible carrier-cost fees include repeated missed appointments, address corrections after dispatch, and re-delivery fees. If refusal is due to visible carrier-caused damage and is noted with the driver, Gnarape handles the claim and no re-delivery fees apply.

Tracking and Live Updates

When your shipment leaves 1325 Royal Lane, Irving, TX, Gnarape emails a confirmation with a tracking link. Please allow up to 24 hours for the first scan to appear in the carrier’s system. If no movement appears after a reasonable period, contact Gnarape so the carrier status can be investigated.

Damage, Loss, or Other Issues

Inspect the package immediately upon delivery. If any part arrives damaged, notify Gnarape promptly with your order number and clear photos or a brief video of the outer carton, inner packing, and the affected map area. Note visible damage with the driver when possible and keep all packing materials until the next steps are confirmed.

  • For minor cosmetic issues, Gnarape can often send replacement small parts or an appropriate touch-up kit quickly.
  • If tracking shows no progress for an extended period, or delivery has not occurred within the stated transit timeframe from the ship date, contact Gnarape. Once the carrier officially confirms the loss, Gnarape will send a replacement at no charge or issue a full USD refund.
  • Shipments that are refused or deemed undeliverable due to repeated missed appointments or an incorrect/incomplete address may return to the sender. Gnarape can re-ship the order after address verification and payment of any incurred carrier return, storage, or re-delivery fees at cost.

Changes and Cancellations

Orders that have not yet entered the packaging stage or shipped can be canceled—please reach out to us as soon as possible. After handoff to the parcel carrier, cancellation is not available. After delivery, please refer to Gnarape’s Return & Refund Policy.

For international orders to UK, FR, DE, ES, IT, BE, PT, AU, or CA, cancellation is not available once customs clearance is complete. Address changes after dispatch may incur carrier reroute fees and significant delays.
