At Gnarape, processing payments on https://gnarape.com for your decorative wall maps should be straightforward and completely secure. This document explains the payment methods we accept, how transactions are handled, the currency utilized, which methods are not supported, and how every financial exchange is rigorously protected. This policy operates in alignment with Gnarape’s Shipping Policy, Cancellation Policy, and Return & Refund Policy, and Warranty (all amounts displayed and subsequently refunded are managed in USD).

1. Accepted Payment Methods

  • Credit / Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). Select the “Credit/Debit Card” option during checkout and input your details on our secure platform. Charges are processed immediately upon order finalization, and an order confirmation will be dispatched to your email. For maximum security, Gnarape strictly does not retain full card numbers or the CVV security code. Payments are managed by processors that are compliant with PCI DSS standards (such as Stripe) and transmitted over secure SSL/TLS connections. Your issuing bank may require additional verification, such as your CVV, billing ZIP/Postcode, or completion of a 3-D Secure/SCA prompt. A temporary authorization hold might appear initially; this converts to the final charge when the order is confirmed or is released if the payment fails. Approved refunds will be returned to the original card used; the time taken for funds to post depends entirely on your bank’s processing schedule.
  • PayPal. Choose PayPal as your method, sign into your account, and finalize the payment; you will then be automatically redirected back to our site for confirmation. If PayPal utilizes an electronic bank transfer/eCheck, the processing of your order will commence only once PayPal confirms the funds have cleared. Refunds processed via this method are sent back to your PayPal balance or the source of funding linked to your PayPal account.
  • Verification for High-Value Orders (Applies to large map orders). To proactively combat fraud and ensure the integrity of shipments, Gnarape may institute verification checks on billing and shipping details or request quick confirmation when the total order value is elevated, if the provided addresses are mismatched, or if rapid, multiple purchases are flagged by our system. Orders are temporarily placed on hold only for the duration necessary to complete this security verification.

2. Currency & Pricing (USD Only)

All transactions, including initial orders and any subsequent refunds, are conducted exclusively in U.S. Dollars (USD). If your bank card or PayPal account operates using a different primary currency (such as GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD, etc.), your financial institution or PayPal will execute the currency conversion using its proprietary exchange rate and may levy associated foreign transaction fees. These exchange rates and fees are determined by your external provider, not by Gnarape. Any discrepancies observed during the refund process are attributable to fluctuating foreign exchange (FX) rates and issuer fees.

3. Taxes, Duties & What Appears at Checkout

Any applicable sales tax or VAT, along with necessary import duties or brokerage fees that Gnarape is legally required to collect, will be explicitly shown during the checkout process and charged in USD. The management of duties and VAT is governed by the specific guidelines outlined in the Shipping Policy for your destination.

  • Where the Shipping Policy indicates DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) or states that charges are included, there is no need to remit any additional payment to the delivery driver—all applicable charges are already encompassed within your total checkout amount (USD).
  • If local authorities are responsible for collecting duties or taxes upon delivery, this will be clearly communicated to you before payment is finalized.
  • All prices, special promotions, and valid discount codes are applied and finalized at the point of checkout and cannot be retrospectively adjusted or credited after the order has been successfully placed.

4. Unsupported Payment Methods

To maintain the rapid and consistent reliability of our transaction processing, Gnarape currently does not accept the following: direct bank wire transfers, personal or business checks, Cash on Delivery (COD), or cryptocurrency. Should we integrate new payment options in the future, this page will be updated accordingly.

5. Authorizations, Charges, Refunds & Disputes

  • Authorizations. Card issuers will typically display a pending authorization hold; most of these holds resolve or disappear within 3–7 business days (timing is dependent on the issuer).
  • Charges. Your designated card is charged when your order status is confirmed. Although our products (wall maps) may sometimes ship in parts depending on the size, a single charge generally covers the total cost of the full order.
  • Refunds. Once approved, refunds are processed back to the original funding method in USD; the speed at which the funds reappear is controlled by the respective banks and PayPal.
  • Declines / Duplicates. If your payment is declined or if a duplicate pending transaction unexpectedly appears, please review the troubleshooting steps in Section 7 or contact Gnarape—failed pending transactions usually clear from your statement automatically.
  • Chargebacks. If you observe any errors or issues with a charge, please contact Gnarape directly first so that the issue can be promptly and efficiently resolved. Initiating an immediate bank dispute (chargeback) can significantly delay the resolution process.

6. Security & Compliance

Every transaction checkout is protected using SSL/TLS encryption, securing the connection from your web browser to our servers. All payments are routed exclusively through highly secure, PCI DSS–compliant gateway services. Gnarape maintains the highest security standards by never storing complete card numbers and by restricting access to payment information solely to authorized, trained staff members for necessary support and fraud prevention measures. SCA (Strong Customer Authentication) / 3-D Secure verification may be mandated by certain card issuers in the EU/UK.
